About Me
Paul Baier
My greatest joy is my family, especially my six-year-old daughter and five-year-old son. They inspire me to strive for excellence in all areas of life. My children motivate me to be a loving and understanding father while teaching them important skills and values for their future. Their curiosity and enthusiasm encourage me to be my best and create a nurturing environment where we can grow and learn together.
I possess over 25 years of extensive experience in fostering connections and enhancing quality of life through technological innovation. My career includes more than a decade in the Bay Area (Silicon Valley), where I mentored and led software engineering teams at multi-billion dollar enterprises. My software development expertise encompasses a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, medical devices, IoT, smart metering, and defense. Moreover, I have been at the forefront of pioneering technologies within the mixed and augmented reality sectors.
Alongside my leadership and programming skills, I hold an academic background in Physics, complemented by a profound curiosity about the fundamental sciences. However, my true passions are rooted in family, sports, and the arts. I actively embody a vibrant and creative lifestyle, wholeheartedly engaging in sports, artistic pursuits, and activities that ignite my enthusiasm. My love for drumming has granted me the opportunity to tour across Australia and the USA with various bands. Beginning my journey as a teenager, I started teaching music and have found immense satisfaction in sharing joy through my teachings.
I have always valued an active lifestyle, participating in sports such as basketball, football, table tennis, and surfing. Since the age of 18, I have committed myself to kickboxing and boxing, competing in both disciplines and training individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. While I have scaled back my competitive efforts, I now dedicate my leisure time primarily to surfing and seeking the perfect wave.
My experiences have also involved assisting individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with intellectual disabilities and elderly individuals facing health and mobility challenges. This journey has deepened my awareness of the daily obstacles many encounter, reinforcing my commitment to providing support and empowerment to those in need.
My enduring passion for helping others is the driving force behind my dedication to caring for individuals on a personal level. At Family Care, Activities & Transport, we are dedicated to helping others improve their lives, a core principle that I aim to embody in every aspect of our services.
